Thank you for the installation of window film in my private residence in Chapel Hill. I am extremely pleased with the entire project form estimate to finished product. You arrived on time for my estimate and you provided me with excellent guidance in choosing the 3M window film that best matched my specific needs. My greatest concern was the sensitivity of my eyes to bright light, and I am pleased with the choice of the Prestige Series PR 40 film. We installed PR 40 on the windows in my master bedroom and bath, my family room, and my kitchen area: all key rooms and all with both southern and western exposures. All of these rooms have been too bright throughout the year and too warm in the summer, despite adequate air conditioning.

Your crew (Jason and John) arrived promptly at the set appointment time. They were courteous, low-keyed, and easy to have in my home. I was comfortable leaving the house while they were here. They were thorough and neat in their work. Maintaining my home would be a pleasure if I could count on having gentlemen such as Jason and John.

In September of 2008 Carolina Solar Security installed 3M Prestige film on the windows of the Cameron Art Museum Gift Shop. The entire process, from inquiry to installation, was quite pleasant and efficient.

Mr. Galeucia, the sales representative, was courteous, informative and patient with our decision-making process as well as prompt with scheduling once we decided to go with the Prestige product. Likewise, the installation crew was prompt and efficient.

Dear Brian,

A few weeks ago the incident happened that I had been dreading - a golf ball plowed into one of my windows and I was not home to witness the event which meant I was also not able to confront the errant golfer who committed the crime. I discovered the broken window by happenstance as I was walking around the house working in the yard. I came across a golf ball, not an uncommon site as my home backs up to the 150 yard marker on the 27th fairway at Magnolia Greens Golf Plantation. However, I usually find the balls in my backyard, not on the side of house. I knew that finding a ball on the side of the house was a very bad sign because that meant the golfer had really hooked the ball badly and probably with a lot of power. Upon finding the ball I instinctively looked up and was horrified to see a shattered second story bedroom window. My first thought was concern for the integrity of my home and exposure to the weather. Because the window was on the second story I couldn't tell much from the ground so I immediately went upstairs to inspect the damage from inside the house. What I found when I entered the bedroom containing the broken window was astonishing! I could see that the ball had completely broken through the first layer of the double pane window in the sash. However, although the second pane was shattered as well, the 3M Scotchshield Safety & Security film had completely held the glass together with more than acceptable integrity.

Prior to this incident I had often fretted with anxiety about how quickly I would have to act if a window were broken. I would wonder how quickly I could find someone to replace it. Knowing how quickly the weather can change in this area and how fierce the storms can be I didn't want to be without a window pane for even a short period of time but knew that might be a possibility given how many golf balls were hitting my house on a regular basis. You had told me during the installation of the 3M Scotchshield Safety & Security film of the unique properties of this product and how it would hold the glass together during just such events as happened to me. I can't tell you how much comfort it gave me to find that wasn't just a sales pitch but a solid reality and quality trait of this great product.

It gives me great peace of mind to know that in the event of another golf ball incident, a storm occurrence, or other similar disaster, I can probably expect that my windows will hold together and protect the interior of my home from the elements long enough for me to arrange for the proper repairs. In the case of this particular event, it has taken me over four weeks to order the new window sash, install the solar film and get the new window in the frame to replace the damaged unit. The interesting part of this is that I would not even have considered putting in the new window glass without first having you put the replacement 3M Scotchshield Safety & Security film on the new glass. To have done so would have exposed the new glass to breaking and not protected by the 3M Scotchshield Safety & Security film which I now consider to be an indispensable part of my window packages from here on out. Further, I felt very comfortable leaving the damaged but still sealed and functioning broken unit in the window frame until I had the complete replacement ready to install in its place.

I was very impressed with the professionalism with which you presented the 3-M solar film product to me during the construction of my home and felt very comfortable doing business with you. Now that I have had a chance to truly experience the full extent of the value of the product you sell I can tell that my confidence in you and the product you sell was well placed.
